[ARCHIVED] Ravalli County Burn Permit Program - Online

Ravalli County Burn Permit Program - Online
With burning season open on March 1st, Sheriff Chris Hoffman reminds the public that Ravalli County Burn Permits should be obtained at BurnPermit.mt.gov. Once on the site, citizens can follow the prompts and obtain or activate their burn permits without calling the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office or 911. Detailed instructions are available at the Sheriff’s Office, on the Ravalli County Sheriff’s web page or FaceBook page, or by contacting the district Fire Chief or Lt. Zae Hudson at the Sheriff’s Office (375-4020).

Citizens may also obtain burn permits at the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office Lobby between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Burn Permits will not be issued at the Sheriff’s Office on Wednesdays. Ravalli County residents are encouraged to obtain their permits electronically to avoid lines and long waits at the Sheriff’s Office.
