Open Burning and Burn Permit System now open Resolution No. 4541

RESOLUTION NO. 4541

RESCINDS RESOLUTION NO. 4536 CLOSURE OF OPEN BURNING

WHEREAS, due to the recent and anticipated weather patterns bringing cooler temperatures and moisture to the area; and

WHEREAS, the Ravalli County Firewarden and state and federal cooperators within the South West Zone have recommended rescinding open burning restrictions at this time;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the RAVALLI COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISIONERS hereby rescinds Resolution No. 4536, effective immediately, Tuesday, September 5, 2023; and allow burning on a day to day basis by approval of the Air Quality Hot Line number 800-225-6779 and the Ravalli County Firewarden, and proper activation of open burns with the Ravalli County Burn Permit system.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ravalli County Firewarden is authorized to order open burning to be closed in Ravalli County on a day to day basis in response to conditions of high fire danger through November 30, 2023.
