Due to the current high fire danger in Ravalli County and forecast for high temperatures throughout the week, the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind our community that open burning within Ravalli County continues to be prohibited. The burning closure will remain in effect until further notice, and includes burn piles, slash piles, burn barrels, debris, ditches and fields. There are currently no other fire restrictions within Ravalli County. Camp or recreational fires continue to be allowed as long as they are less than four feet in diameter, a water source available at the location of the fire, and attended until completely out. We appreciate the public’s support and cooperation in keeping our community fire safe this summer.
