ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED AT THE FRONT COUNTER ONLY.
Beginning May 11, and until further notice, the Clerk & Recorder Office front counter will be open to the general public for dropping off documents that need to be recorded, requesting birth or death certificates, or requesting copies of documents. If you enter the building, you must maintain Governor Bullock’s Phase 1 social distancing requirements.
If you need assistance, you can reach our office via mail, phone, fax, or email.
If you need to have something recorded or need a birth or death certificate, you can mail in your request, along with proper payment (see recording/filing fees) and a copy of your ID (for birth and death requests). We also have a drive-up drop box that you can drop your request in. Be sure to enclose your request in an envelope and address it to the Clerk and Recorder Office.
Note: For birth and death certificate requests, there are other options for providing ID as well as payment. Call 375-6555 for more information.
If you need to register to vote, update your voter registration, or request an absentee/mail ballot, you can complete a voter registration form or absentee/mail ballot request form and return the form via mail, fax, or email.
